Hey, everyone! Time has come for the prompt post to be closed and the writing of fic to begin.

Some Rules/Guidelines for Submission and Feedback:

1. Drabbles should be submitted by commenting on this post. There is no word minimum or maximum. If your fic doesn't fit in one comment (about 4300 characters), that's perfectly fine. Just post an excerpt of your fic and a link to the rest of the story elsewhere.

2. You need to use a subject line for your submissions.

The format you should use is: Title, Prompt, Rating. Example: That's What She Said to Me Last Night, 'your mom' jokes, PG

3. Each drabble should be submitted as a new comment to this post.

4. Anyone can submit as many drabbles as they'd like, using any prompts, even your own. More than one person can submit for the same prompt.

5. Feel free to cross-post submissions elsewhere. Just make sure you let others know you wrote if for this drabble-a-thon.

6. If you like what you've read, please take the time to tell the author. Comments are like crack to fanfic writers. We can never get enough. (Please be sure to reply to the comment in which the author posted their drabble, not to this original post, so the author receives your feedback.)

7. Absolutely no flames of any kind will be tolerated in this community. This is supposed to be fun. Read the subject line before reading, and simply skip over something that appears not to be to your liking or rating preference.

The deadline for Round Four Submissions will be on May 20th. Go on and write, everyone.

Round Three of ham_napkin is officially closed. On behalf of stamatina_rae and myself, much thanks to all those who posted prompts and the awesome writers who answered those prompts.

Now, let's begin Round Four of the Jack/Liz drabble-a-thon.

For the next week, I'll leave this post open for prompts. Once tabulated, the list of prompts will be posted to another journal entry and drabbles will be submitted by commenting on that post, which will stay open through the beginning of May. Stories of all lengths and ratings will be permitted, as long as they're Jack/Liz (shippy or friendshippy) in nature.

Starting right now until March 18th, you may submit prompts for Round Four by commenting on this post.

Prompts are best kept as one word or a short phrase.

For example:

hairbrush
lots of time to think

So go on and prompt like a prompting thing. You can submit as many as you'd like. (The more the merrier.)

(Also: Please watch ham_napkin as opposed to joining. The mods will be the only ones posting entries. But everyone can still participate with prompt and/or drabble submissions by commenting on those posts. Thanks everyone, and have a good time.)

We at ham_napkin have decided to extend this round until the show comes back with new episodes on January 14th. So, why not head over to the prompt list and see if you feel inspired to write any more Jack/Liz fic before then.

And happy new year to everyone. :)

Hello, everyone. I wanted to announce that I'm taking over the mod/maintainer duties for ham_napkin while stamatina_rae is on hiatus from LJ.

And while I'm here, I'd like to remind the so inclined that there's ten days left until the end of cycle one (and the premiere of 30 Rock!), so there's still a good amount of time to write some more drabbles, if you feel inspired.

In light of the huge number of great prompts we received for round one -- and my own selfish desire to somehow complete more fics within the confines of my crazy busy week ahead  --  the deadline for round one drabble submissions will be pushed back to October 15th, the night of the Season 4 premiere.

Thanks so much to everyone who has submitted stories!  Keep up the fantastic work!

Drabble Submissions and Feedback 101:

1.  Drabbles should be submitted by commenting on this post.  There is no word minimum or maximum.  If your fic doesn't fit in one comment (about 4300 characters), it's okay.  Just make sure to post a link to the rest of the story elsewhere -- like at your own personal journal.

2.  You need to use a subject line for your submissions!
The format you should use is:  Title, Prompt, Rating.    Example: I Got You Babe, karaoke, PG-13

3.  Each drabble should be submitted as a new comment to this post.  It's extremely confusing otherwise.

(Please be sure to reply to the comment in which the author posted their drabble, not to this original post.)

7.  Absolutely no flames of any kind will be tolerated in this community.  This is supposed to be fun.  Read the subject line before reading, and simply skip over something that appears not to your liking or rating preference.

The deadline for Round One Submissions will be in two weeks -- 9/30/09  10/15/09.  Thanks again everybody!  Drabble your hearts out!
